We don't read and write poetry because it's cute. We read and write poetry because we are members of the human race. And the human race is filled with passion. Medicine, law, business, engineering these are noble pursuits and necessary to sustain life. But poetry, beauty, romance, and love; these are what we stay alive for. To quote from Whitman "Oh me, Oh life of the questions of these recurring. of the endless trains of the faithless of cities filled with the foolish. What good amid these? Oh me, Oh life." "Answer...that you are here and life exists....You are here. Life exists, and identity. That the powerful play goes on and you may contribute a verse." Life begins as a true collaboration.
Life is a difficult journey.
For those who attempt the journey, life is against them.
Those who attempt the journey must be willing to commit their entire being and risk everything.
Getting closer to accomplishing the goal does not make it easier. The struggle becomes more challenging as the journey continues, requiring greater effort and commitment.
Not a moment is casual because the stakes are very high.
Complete attention must be placed on what has to be done every step of the way.
Finding the path for the journey is not discovered in theories or intellectual studies. The map is only discovered in actually taking the journey.
For those who complete the journey, the result is amazing, extraordinary, and unexpected.
